MEAM is pleased to announce the start of our Racism and Multiple Disadvantage Action Research Project.
Earlier this year we asked MEAM network members to provide a short Expression of Interest to explore the interplay between systemic racism and multiple disadvantage and how MEAM and the areas we support can improve racial equity in our work.
We have now awarded a contract to an independent learning partner, Kusoma, to work in partnership with the MEAM coalition and we are pleased to announce that the Birmingham and Oxfordshire MEAM Approach partnerships will be working with us.
The project will run until January 2024 and support these two partnerships to develop their own action research relevant to racism and multiple disadvantage in their local areas. The project will also seek to develop tools, resources and a final learning paper to share with the wider MEAM network and beyond.
