MEAM welcomes three new trustees

December 02, 2025

MEAM is delighted to announce that Tom Hayden, Deborah Jenkins and Steve O’Neill have joined MEAM’s board of trustees. The new trustees were warmly welcomed to their first meeting in November 2025, following an extensive search supported by Peridot Partners.

Together, Tom, Deborah and Steve bring a breadth of knowledge, experience and expertise covering lived experience, frontline service delivery, local partnership, NHS and local authority commissioning, national charity leadership and public and social sector consulting. They will work closely with the existing members of MEAM’s board, drawn from our founding partners, and with MEAM chair, Wendy Eley. Biographies of the board are available on our team page

Wendy Eley, Chair of MEAM, said:

“I am delighted to welcome the new trustees to the MEAM board. After our first full board meeting and strategy day, I am confident that we have a real breadth of experience and knowledge that can support Ollie and his team. This charity matters, its values are clear, and its purpose is essential. We are looking forward to the future.”

Oliver Hilbery, Chief Executive of MEAM, said:

“I am delighted to welcome the new trustees to MEAM’s board and to be working alongside all board members as we continue to support local areas to transform services and systems for people facing multiple disadvantage. We were fortunate to have an incredible selection of people to choose from during the recruitment process and I am grateful to everyone who expressed interest in the roles.”
