We are delighted to launch our new essay collection, ‘Future Focus: Where next for policy on multiple disadvantage?’.
In Future Focus, our policy commission launched in 2023, we identified four big questions that government will need to address if it is serious about reforming our public services. These questions go to the heart of what is needed to embed change, challenge the underlying systemic structures that drive current service responses, and resolve the few but persistent policy challenges that remain around multiple disadvantage.
As we head towards the next election we have invited politicians, policymakers, sector leaders and people with lived experience to reflect on these four questions and to help frame the answers that are needed for the future. We hope that the cross-party and other voices in this collection can help shape the path ahead.
We would like to thank our contributors to this collection for their reflections, including Felicity Buchan MP, Jess Phillips MP, Baroness Tyler of Enfield, Jane Stevenson MP, Andy Burnham, Josh MacAlister, Arif Rajpura, Nicola Gitsham, Safia Cragg and Darren Murinas.
