Plymouth became a MEAM Approach area in autumn 2017, but started work on improving the system for people experiencing multiple disadvantage in 2012, prompted by an invitation to apply for the Fulfilling Lives programme. In 2022, Plymouth received funding from the Changing Futures programme.
