Westminster joined the network in November 2018 and continues to build strong partnerships across the community, such as with Public Health, Adult Social Care, CNWL (Mental Health Trust), Probation and WCC's homelessness and housing management teams.
The Approach has been adopted within the council's homelessness prevention department, mainly working with people in temporary accommodation or tenancies. There is one coordinator working with a cohort 10 individuals, with support from a local operational and strategic partnership group, as well as a co-production group meeting regularly.
Systems change and sustainability
The Approach aims to use systems learning from the operational group to identify key areas for change. With strategic commitment from Westminster's homelessness commissioning team also, the area is working to embed the impetus for change across a wider group of stakeholders. Existing and emerging areas have included autism and multiple disadvantage, access to dual diagnosis services, mental health support for complex trauma or a personality disorder diagnosis and the Blue Light Project.
