Network Events

This page provides information about upcoming events that will be hosted by MEAM up to the end of March 2022. Events are currently available free of charge to all MEAM Approach network areas and intervention areas. We will be keeping all events online for now, with the exception of the MEAM Approach Annual Conference, which we hope to do face to face in March.

Summary of Events

25th January, 14:00 – 16:30 MEAM Learning Hub: Community Mental Health Framework and Multiple Disadvantage

  • A half day event exploring how we understand the community mental health framework, and how to better use it to support people experiencing multiple disadvantage.
  • MEAM Learning Hubs are designed for frontline workers such as navigators and specialist mental health workers to share and develop their practice. People who commission frontline services may also find them useful.

26th January, 14:00 – 15:30 National Health for Rough Sleepers Forum: Cancer Session

  • An informal space for shared learning and peer support for clinicians and health practitioners working with people who sleep rough. Looking at cancer services and how they engage with different communities.

9th February, 11:00 – 12:30 – Seaside Town Meet Up

  • A space for strategic partners to discuss the unique complexities of tackling Multiple Disadvantage in seaside towns.

  • An informal space for shared learning and peer support for strategic leaders from across the MEAM and Fulfilling Lives network
  • Open to MEAM network areas.

24th February, 14:00 – 15:30 National Health for Rough Sleepers Forum: Health In-reach Session

  • An informal space for shared learning and peer support for clinicians and health practitioners working with people who sleep rough. Looking at providing health services for people sleeping rough who are in hostel or other accommodation.

  • An all day event. Two spaces allocated to each area.

16th March, 10:00 – 12:00 – Frontline Practitioners Meet Up: Supporting women experiencing Multiple Disadvantage.

  • A half day event bringing together Frontline Practitioners from across the MEAM and Fulfilling Lives Network to look at how we can better work with women experiencing multiple disadvantage.

24th March, 14:00 – 15:30 National Health for Rough Sleepers Forum: Supervised Consumption Session

  • An informal space for shared learning and peer support for clinicians and health practitioners working with people who sleep rough. Looking at an introduction to supervised consumption and best practice. Open nationally.
